A working supervisor that plans, develops, organizes, implements and directs the day-to-day functions of the Plant Operations. Serves on various committees as appointed. Responsible for preventative and ongoing maintenance and overall appearance of the community. Responsible for leading the department team in responding to residents’ concerns and maintenance requests. Responsible for maintaining records of life safety system maintenance and executing monthly drills and training related to life safety. Maintains inventory and adheres to department budgetary guidelines. This position will start mid-December.
We require at least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Director in a Senior Living Community. Candidates must have knowledge of building service practices and procedures and regulations for Independent Living Facilities in NY. Must possess the ability to plan and carry out programs in repair, new construction and equipment installation. Must be able to lead a team, supervise and mentor staff members. Must exhibit excellent customer service skills and be able to interact with residents and family members. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills both written and verbally. This community has an indoor pool and the application must be willing to obtain Certified Pool Operator certification within 90 days. Must have a flexible schedule as some evenings and weekends will be required on a rotating basis.
