BRIDGES® Memory Care

EPOCH’s BRIDGES Program is delivered in separate and secure neighborhoods within EPOCH assisted living communities. While offering the same luxurious surroundings and gracious amenities as the rest of the community, BRIDGES neighborhoods have special safety features and are specially designed to provide memory stimulation.
BRIDGES’ comprehensive activities program provides increased stimulation that helps relieve the common effects of Alzheimer’s: depression, agitation and wandering. We strive to find creative ways to involve residents so even daily routines are turned into fun activities with purpose. BRIDGES is also offered in our senior healthcare centers for those in the later stages of disease who need a higher level of care.

A Circle of Friends . . . Welcome to The Club™

Socialization and group activities are key in our memory care community. BRIDGES residents are welcome to participate in our day program called The Club™. A daily program of continuous activity, The Club™ is for individuals with moderate dementia who could benefit from regular stimulating group programming.

The Club™ participants enjoy days filled with continuous meaningful activities that are designed to meet the varied interests of our residents, with emphasis on fun, laughter and friendship. The activity program is supported with physical exercise, nutritious meals and stress-reducing memory cues.

The Club™ is about quality of life, meaningful activities and socialization.

In short, residents are engaging in their lives once again . . . renewing the person they once were – renewing the person they still are.

Namaste™ . . . Honoring the Spirit Within

As the symptoms of dementia progress to the advanced stage, Namaste™ is a program that changes the way we care for residents in the last stages of their illness.

Namaste™ means “to honor the spirit within.” This is exactly what we do at EPOCH – honor the spirit of the residents whose lives have been changed by dementia while celebrating the person who still is. The main goal of Namaste™ is to keep our residents as comfortable as possible in a peaceful environment surrounded by compassionate staff and the presence of others.

Namaste™ is a comforting, sensory-based program offering wonderful aromas and comfortable chairs. Residents are wrapped in warm quilts and frequently receive hand and foot massages. Sometimes care is just spending time with a resident. Sometimes it’s listening to music together. Sometimes it’s as simple as an extra hug. We know that a caring touch within a circle of love reaches our residents at this time in life.
