Residents and guests of EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Weston celebrated the recent nuptials of Prince William
and Kate Middleton in a rather royal way. Residents (mostly female residents) worked for weeks crafting their own formal hats under the direction of “milliner” Doris Hicks, an activity assistant. Residents donned their unique and creative hats for a reception celebrating the royal marriage. Life Enrichment Director Gail Murphy made a home-made three-tier wedding cake for everyone to enjoy, and it was accompanied by “faux” champagne and strawberries. Residents also joined in a Royal Trivia quiz and shared stories about their own wedding experiences. At the conclusion of the reception, students from Regis College visited to put on a prom for residents. It was a full afternoon, to say the least!
