For the second consecutive year, EPOCH Assisted Living at Melbourne, located in the Berkshires, is housing two young baseball players who play for in the Futures League, a collegiate league that provides student-athletes an opportunity to compete against elite players throughout the New England area. Matt Timoney, 19, a sophomore at Harvard College, and Shane Beauchemin, 19, a sophomore at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, are both pitchers for the Pittsfield Suns. 

The players moved in with residents of EPOCH at Melbourne earlier this summer. While they will catch meals with the residents when they can, the players are extremely busy between practice, games and traveling throughout New England for away games.
