President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Gerber has served as President and CEO of EPOCH since the Company’s founding in 1997. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Gerber was President and CEO of The Berkshire Group, a privately-held firm with subsidiaries in long-term care, multifamily real estate and mortgage banking industries with over $10 billion in assets under management. From 1984 to 1990, he served in various senior executive capacities with the Berkshire Group, with responsibility for real estate acquisitions, mortgage banking, fundraising and strategic planning. Under Mr. Gerber’s direction, Harborside Healthcare (NYSE:HBR), the long-term care subsidiary of Berkshire, successfully completed an IPO and grew to more than 5,000 long-term care beds. While at Berkshire, Mr. Gerber also served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Berkshire Realty Company (NYSE:BRI) and Chairman of Berkshire Mortgage Finance Company. Prior to joining Berkshire, Mr. Gerber was a management consultant with Bain & Company and a senior tax accountant with Arthur Anderson & Company. He received his BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar.
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Cormac has served as Chief Operating Officer of EPOCH Senior Living, Inc. since 2001. From 1999 to 2001, Ms. Cormac served as Senior Vice President, overseeing all of the communities that EPOCH owns and manages. Prior to joining EPOCH, Ms. Cormac spent twelve years in various nursing home management roles. Her experience includes service as an Administrator with Hillhaven, where she worked from 1987 to 1996. Ms. Cormac also worked at SunBridge Healthcare as the Regional Manager responsible for the daily operations of 1,250 skilled nursing beds. Ms. Cormac is a Massachusetts Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Ms. Cormac has a BS in Business Administration from Fitchburg State College and an MBA, which she received in 1996, from Northeastern University.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Pfaff has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since June 2003. Ms. Pfaff was previously Vice President of the Meditrust Companies (NYSE:MT), a healthcare real estate investment trust in which she was responsible for overseeing a portfolio of $2.5 billion of healthcare investments. From 1992 to 2002, she managed a national portfolio of over 400 skilled nursing, assisted living and other healthcare related properties. In her role at Meditrust, Ms. Pfaff conducted due diligence on various corporate acquisition targets as well as real estate investment opportunities. She actively participated in secondary public offerings of both stocks and bonds in the United States and Europe and worked closely with lending institutions and rating agencies. Ms. Pfaff is a Certified Public Accountant and was a Senior Manager in the healthcare practice at KPMG. She received her BS Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island.
Regional Vice President of Operations
Mr. Stevens joined EPOCH Senior Living as Regional Vice President of Operations in July 2012. Joel provides operational management for EPOCH’s skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
Prior to joining EPOCH, he served as Regional Director of Operations and as a licensed Administrator for other senior living caregivers in the New England Area since 1998. Joel has also operated facilities in Maryland and served in various administrative capacities in acute and sub-acute healthcare facilities in Connecticut and New Hampshire from 1990 - 1998.
While with these companies, Joel developed post-acute ventilator programs and services for residents with acquired brain injury, provided due diligence for acquisitions, worked on pharmacy development, and formed care continuums with hospitals and other healthcare providers. In addition, he was responsible for strategic planning, labor relations and employee recruitment.
Joel holds a master’s degree from the George Washington University School of Business in Health Services Administration and other degrees in psychology and criminal justice.
Vice President of Human Resources
Ms. Churray has served the Company as Vice President of Human Resources since March 2001. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Churray held the positions of Administrator, Regional Director of Human Resources and Vice President of Labor Relations for various healthcare companies. Ms. Churray holds a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Management and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Labor Relations from Cornell University. She has served as the chief negotiator in multiple union contracts with the Service Employees International Union and negotiated the successful conclusion of a ten-week nursing strike. She is a member of both the Northeast Human Resources Association and National Society of Human Resources Management.

Director of Acquisitions, Regulatory and Risk Management
Ms. Anderson has been with the Company since its founding in 1997. She has conducted financial, legal and operational due diligence on, secured financing for and closed deals on over $250 million in assets. In addition to negotiating deal documents, Ms. Anderson also negotiates significant company contracts. She has obtained zoning and permitting for construction and redevelopment of senior housing. Ms. Anderson, through her strong relationships with state regulators, has secured licensing and approvals to operate from public health departments throughout the country. Ms. Anderson also manages the legal affairs, risk management and budgeting for the company. Prior to joining EPOCH, Ms. Anderson worked for Oasis Healthcare, a senior living company with 10 communities, where she was responsible for acquisitions. Ms. Anderson holds a B.A. from Simmons College and a Juris Doctor from New England School of Law.
Director of Facilities Management
Mr. Fox has been employed by the Company since January 2008. Mr. Fox’s primary responsibilities include general project management, programming, budgeting and scheduling for the company’s development and renovation projects. In addition, Mr. Fox is responsible for capital expenditure planning, coordination and implementation for the EPOCH portfolio. Prior to joining EPOCH, Mr. Fox was employed by Pomroy Associates, a full service real estate management company specializing in engineering and construction management services associated with Real Estate acquisition and divestiture, finance, development and asset management. Prior to Pomroy, Mr. Fox was Director of Project and Property Management for Meditrust Corporation, once a leading healthcare real estate investment trust which had real estate assets exceeding $3.5 billion. Mr. Fox holds a B.S. from Wentworth Institute of Technology where he graduated with honors and accreditation.
